FAQs

Frequently asked questions:

Q: What type of customizing do you do:

I can customize nearly everything I make. Whether you want a photo of yourself or a loved one in my displays, specific colors, or designs like ashtrays to match your decor or flower arrangements to clocks, I can help. If I have the materials, it's quick. If not, it may take a bit longer, but I can still do it. My goal is for you to be happy with you purchase.

Q: What type of rocks do you use for your planters and vases?

I choose stones from different places, mostly ocean stones from the Bay Area, beaches, Colorado Springs, and some from other states. I clean and polish each one myself.

Q: How do I prevent bubbles in my resin art?

Bubbles are a common issue in resin art but can be minimized by following these steps:

  • Mix resin and hardener slowly and thoroughly to avoid introducing excess air.

  • Warm your resin slightly before mixing to reduce viscosity, making it easier for bubbles to rise and pop.

  • Use a heat source like a butane torch or heat gun briefly over the surface after pouring to help release trapped bubbles.

  • Pour resin in thin layers rather than all at once to allow bubbles to escape more easily.

  • Work in a dust-free, draft-free environment to prevent contamination and rapid cooling, which can trap bubbles.

Following these practices will improve the clarity and smoothness of your resin finish.
